OUR PHILOSOPHY
Dogs we want to live with.
Our breeding decisions begin with the individual dogs in front of us. We consider health, temperament, structure, pedigree, working ability, breed type, and the qualities each pairing may contribute to the next generation.
Our dogs are family first. They live, train, travel, and compete with us, and we want the puppies we produce to have the same opportunity to become capable, enjoyable partners in their future homes.
HEALTH & BREEDING DECISIONS
Health is part of the foundation.
We use breed-appropriate health testing and available genetic information as part of our breeding decisions, alongside temperament, structure, pedigree, and the strengths and weaknesses of each individual dog.
As a veterinarian, I bring a medical perspective to breeding, pregnancy, whelping, neonatal care, and the long-term health considerations that go into our program.
FROM BIRTH TO GO-HOME
Raised with intention.
Early Development
Our puppies are raised in our home with ENS, ESI, and age-appropriate experiences introduced throughout their early development.
Exposure & Socialization
We gradually introduce new people, surfaces, sounds, environments, household life, and novel experiences while paying attention to each puppy's response.
Individual Placement
We evaluate puppies as individuals rather than placing them by appearance alone. Temperament, confidence, energy, engagement, structure, and the needs of each home all matter.
Ongoing Support
Our relationship with our puppy families does not end at go-home. We want to remain a resource throughout the dog's life.
PUPPY PLACEMENT
The right puppy for the right home.
Golden Retrievers: At 7 weeks, our Golden puppies are evaluated using Volhard Temperament Testing along with our observations throughout the litter's development. Placement considers temperament, lifestyle, energy level, confidence, and working or performance goals.
Great Danes: Dane placement will consider temperament and family fit as well as color preference where appropriate. Structure is also considered when evaluating puppies that may be suited for future show homes.
