Our puppies are raised in our home with an emphasis on thoughtful early development, appropriate exposure, and careful placement. As they grow, we evaluate each puppy as an individual so we can make informed decisions about the type of home in which they are most likely to thrive.
THE FIRST WEEKS
Development starts early.
From the neonatal period forward, we introduce age-appropriate experiences as the puppies develop. Early handling, new surfaces, sounds, environments, people, and everyday household life are introduced thoughtfully rather than all at once.
OUR APPROACH
A strong foundation before go-home.
ENS & ESI
During the neonatal period, puppies are introduced to Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) using age-appropriate exercises designed to add gentle, controlled experiences during early development.
Socialization
Puppies are gradually introduced to people, household activity, surfaces, sounds, environments, and novel experiences while we watch each puppy's response and recovery.
Golden Retriever Placement
Our Golden Retriever puppies are evaluated at 7 weeks of age using Volhard Temperament Testing, along with what we have observed throughout the litter's development. We use that information to help match each puppy with a home that best fits their temperament, energy, confidence, and working potential.
Great Dane Placement
For Great Dane litters, placement will also consider color preference where appropriate, while giving significant weight to temperament and structure. Puppies with promising conformation may be considered for future show homes.
Health & Care
Puppies receive routine veterinary care and age-appropriate preventative care before leaving for their new homes.
Individual Evaluation
Temperament testing is only one piece of the picture. Daily observations of confidence, engagement, activity level, resilience, sociability, and overall development are also considered before placement decisions are made.

We cannot control everything a puppy will become, but we can give them a thoughtful beginning. Our goal is to send each puppy home with experiences that support confidence, adaptability, and a strong relationship with their new family.
